Southampton Football Club manager Gordon Strachan
is to leave his post at the end of the season to take a break
from the game.
The former Coventry boss decided not extend his contract which
expires in the summer due to health and personal reasons.
Despite coming as a shock, Strachans revelation was supported
by the Southampton FC chairman Rupert Lowe who admitted it will
be sad to see one of the clubs most successful managers step down.
Strachan joined the club in October 2001 and led the team to the
FA Cup final last season and the club are currently in a promising
position to qualify for Europe two years in a row.
