The future of 1995 and 1999 UEFA Cup winners
Parma is to be decided today at a meeting arranged by administrators
between the clubs shareholders.
Concern has been growing increasingly since the multi-million
pound company Parmalat, which owns the team, went bankrupt last
month but the club can still be sold as it was not one of Parmalat's
strategic assets.
Despite the club losing over $100m last year and owing over $90m
to Parmalat and other debters, the administration team brought
in are still confident they can save the famous club, mainly due
ot the fact they still have massive playing assets to sell, with
at least 5 of their squad Italian Under 21 internationals.
