Liverpool sign new goalkeeper >>
[BACK TO NEWS HEADLINES]

Liverpool Football club have today signed veteran goalkeeper from Southampton.
The Welsh stopper hasnt started a game for the Saints since November but remains the Welsh number one despite losing his place at Southampton.

The move comes following injuries to both Polish keeper Jerzy Dudek and number one keeper Chris Kirkland.

Despite a solid debut from third choice keeper Patrice Luzi in the surprise victory over Chelsea, Houillier was keen to bring in a solid short term reinforcement and the experienced Welsh international Jones certainly matches what the Liverpool boss was looking for.
