Chelsea FC boss Claudio Ranieri is facing new
speculation surrounding his future as the teams manager following
his sides third defeat in 5 league games - leaving them 7 points
behind league leaders Manchester United. The big spending Blues
crashed 1-0 to Liverpool - the first time since the formation
of the English Premiership - at their West London home, Stamford
Bridge.
Bruno Cheyrou's first ever Liverpool goal, just after the half
hour mark, gave his side a much needed boost, and prompted the
question mark over the Chelsea supermos position, which is again
uncertain following a 40 minute post match meeting with the clubs
Billionaire Russian owner Roman Abramovich.
However, the London sides coach remained upbeat after the game
saying: "This period is not good for us but I said 'well
done' to my players as they gave their maximum in this game. We
lost but we played our best. I am not happy with our results but
I'm not worried.
There
isn't any team that can stay at a high level for 11 months. When
we were at the top of the table, I said it was not important,
that we had to continue to build.
It's
easy for people to say that we are fighting for the title. I'm
fighting to build a team. Do I still believe there is patience
to do that here? Yes."
